Why now

Australia is short
259,000 tech workers.

The country’s tech workforce shrank in 2025 for the first time on record. A Sydney developer takes nine to fourteen weeks to hire, if you find one.

We’re ten times faster, because the hiring is already done. 360+ people in Cebu, ranked the #1 technology workplace in Southeast Asia, 4.8 on Glassdoor, and an NPS of 88 against an industry average of 39.

People who like where they work stay, and people who stay get good at your product. That’s the part you actually feel.

Why you’re in safe hands

Software developers who flag the problem before you find it.

Across 7,000 outsourcing relationships, the most common complaint about a provider isn’t cost or quality — it’s that they don’t challenge the client enough. With offshore teams specifically, it’s developers agreeing to something they haven’t understood.

When Clutch asks our clients what makes us different, three of them reached for the same word, unprompted.

“Their proactive approach to identifying issues and suggesting improvements sets them apart.”

How it works

Your dedicated software development team in the Philippines, assembled properly

Most firms doing software development outsourcing in the Philippines send a stack of CVs and let you sort it out. We do the technical due diligence first — your stack, your codebase, what the role has to carry — and only then go and find the people for your dedicated development team in the Philippines. The shortlist is short because that work already happened.

01

Tell us the gap

Thirty minutes with a co-founder. Roles, seniority, stack, and what your team can’t carry right now.

02

Our technical people dig in

Not a sales call. Our engineers and product people go through your stack, your codebase and your roadmap so we understand the role properly before we try to fill it.

03

You get the shortlist, and you interview it

Only now. A short list, because the filtering already happened — technical assessment, work history, communication, and how they behave when they disagree with someone. You interview everyone and you can say no.

04

They join your standups

Embedded from week one. Review the squad each quarter and scale it up or down.

From AUD 100M to AUD 6.9B in payments processed

Payment Logic built Australia’s first Bill Payment Service Provider platform and is now a market leader, in partnership with American Express.

We started with two engineers in Cebu in 2016. Today it’s a team of 25 across engineering, QA, analysis and sales, led directly by Payment Logic’s own CTO. The people stayed, so the knowledge stayed in the business.

That reliability let Payment Logic deepen the American Express relationship. AMEX now white-labels two of its platforms — Accessline and Freeflow — both live today.

What it costs

What software development in the Philippines actually costs

Like-for-like against the same hire in Sydney. There is no separate management fee — the Arcanys figure is what leaves your account.

Straight answers

The questions we actually get asked

When do we actually see candidates?
After the technical due diligence, not before. The first call is thirty minutes with a co-founder to work out whether we’re a fit at all. If we are, our engineers and product people go properly through your stack and your roadmap — then we go and find people against that. Sending CVs before that work is done is how offshore engagements start badly, and it’s the main reason ours don’t.
How do you protect our IP and our data?
Every person who touches your work signs an NDA before they start. IP assignment is written into the contract — everything your team produces is yours, unambiguously, from day one. Devices are company-managed, and access is controlled and provisioned per client rather than shared across accounts. If you have specific compliance requirements from your own customers, raise them on the first call and we’ll tell you plainly whether we meet them.
Won’t AI coding agents make offshore developers redundant?
For routine, entry-level work the pressure is real — the Philippine IT industry association cut its own 2028 forecast in July 2026, from US$59bn to US$50.5bn, citing AI adoption. That pressure lands on volume work, not on people who own a product codebase. Our developers use Claude Code, Junie and CodeRabbit as part of the normal workflow; the tooling is table stakes now. What doesn’t come out of a model is someone who has owned your codebase for three years, knows why the last architectural decision was made, and will tell you when the new one is a mistake.
Is this outsourcing, offshore software development, or IT staff augmentation?
Call it offshore software development, software development outsourcing, IT staff augmentation or team augmentation in the Philippines — the labels all get used for what we do. In practice: they’re your team and our employees. You set priorities, run the standups, do code review, and keep 100% of the IP. We handle employment, payroll, benefits, career progression and the day-to-day work of keeping good people happy. We don’t take the wheel on your product, and we don’t do fixed-scope projects with an end date.
What seniority do we actually get?
Whatever the role needs. Our software programmers in the Philippines run from mid-level through to architects and tech leads, and we’ll tell you honestly which mix the work calls for rather than selling you the most expensive one. You interview every person and you decide.
How small can we start?
We work with teams of three people and up. Below that you don’t get the benefit of a squad that covers for each other through leave, illness and the occasional bad week — and you’d be better served by a contractor or a freelancer. We’d rather say that now than take the engagement and watch it underdeliver.
How does the time difference work?
Cebu is two hours behind Sydney and Melbourne during AEST, and three during daylight saving. That’s a full overlapping working day — your 10am standup is their 8am and everyone is online through the afternoon. It’s the practical reason Australian companies choose the Philippines over Eastern Europe or Latin America.
What about English?
Near-native. English is a medium of instruction throughout Philippine schooling and university, and we screen for it explicitly. You won’t need a coordinator or an intermediary, and your developers will push back on a bad requirement in a design review rather than quietly building it.
How long until someone is actually working?
Typically two to six weeks from the first call to a developer in your sprint, depending on how specific the stack is. Unusual specialisms take longer. We’d rather tell you that than send someone who is nearly right.
What if it doesn’t work out?
If you’re not satisfied in the first month, you owe us nothing. After that the engagement is reviewed quarterly and you can scale up or down. No multi-year lock-in.
What are you not right for?
Fixed-scope, fixed-price projects with a defined end date. One-off website or WordPress builds. Work that needs people overlapping US Pacific hours. If that’s what you need, say so on the call and we’ll tell you in the first ten minutes rather than the third meeting.
